Frequently Asked Questions

The Hotel Galiléo team would like to introduce you to our frequently asked questions. It consists of the questions most frequently asked by our guests. If you do not find the answer to your question, please do not hesitate to contact our staff. They will be happy to answer you.

Is there air conditioning in the room, does it work all year round?

Yes, but not all year round. Depending on the season, the outside temperature and the customer's request, we switch to heating or air conditioning.

Is it possible to request an extra bed in my room?

No, it is not possible to request an extra bed. You can book triple or family rooms. However, it is possible to request a baby bed in certain room categories.

Is it possible to bring a guest to my room?

You can have a guest in your room if the number of persons in the room does not exceed the maximum capacity. However, if an extra person is staying in your room, they must go to reception and if they are staying in the hotel, they must pay according to the current rate per person per night.

Are there rooms with balcony?

Yes, two Tradition Confort rooms on the 2nd floor of the hotel have balconies. A terrace on the ground floor of the hotel is accessible to all guests.

Do the rooms face the courtyard or the street?

The classic rooms of the Galileo Hotel face the courtyard, as do the Junior Suite, the triple rooms and one of the traditional rooms. Die anderen Zimmer liegen zur Straße hin.

Are there beds for children / babies ?

You can ask us to install a baby bed in certain room categories (except for the classic ones) for any child up to 1 year old. From 2 years onwards, the child is considered as an adult and you will have to book a category for the number of occupants.

Are the rooms equipped with a hairdryer?

Yes, all our rooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

Is it possible to stay with 3 people in a double room?

No, the lobby is open to everyone and you can join your guests. If you wish to stay with three people, you can book a triple room or a suite.

Do you have connecting rooms?

Yes, the Galileo Hotel has connecting rooms. 

Is it possible to request a specific room number?

You can request a specific room number, however, depending on availability, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. For this reason, please remember to request the room number you want in advance.

Is there heating in the room?

Yes, but not all year round. Depending on the season, the outside temperature and the customer's request, we switch to heating or air conditioning.

Does my room have a safe?

Yes, all rooms at the Hotel Galileo have a safe.

Does the hotel offer smoking rooms?

It is strictly forbidden to smoke or vaporize in our establishment. Otherwise, we may ask you to pay a disinfection and cleaning fee of up to 100€.


However, our establishment has a terrace and some of our rooms also have terraces where you can smoke.

Is it possible to get a refund for a non-cancellable, non-refundable offer?

No, the rate is not refundable.

Is the rate indicated per person or per room?

The rate is indicated per room. However, a tourist tax of 5,20€ per night per person is to be paid at the reception. Payment can be done upon check-in or in advance through a secure payment system.

A pre-authorization for the first night will be blocked and the amount will be debited 4 days before your arrival in our hotel. This amount will be released at the time of check-out. It will take between one to five working days to have it back on your bank account.

Is breakfast included to the room rate?

It depends on the offer.

Which credit cards are accepted?

The following cards are accepted: Master, Visa, Maestro, American Express. Cash is also accepted. However, it is not possible to pay by check.

Are taxes included?

Yes, all taxes are included except the tourist tax which must be paid on check-in.

What is the cancellation policy of EKTA Hotel?

The cancellation policy of Galiléo depends on the hotel rate booked.

How do I cancel or change my reservation?

When you book directly through our website, you will receive an e-mail of confirmation. Instructions to update your stay are detailed in the e-mail (based on your booking policy).

If you have booked through a third-party, we invite you to contact the platform in order to edit your booking.

Why am I being charged for the first night?

A pre-authorisation is made within 7 days of the first night's stay as a guarantee (the amount is blocked on your account but not debited). In case of damage to the room or unpaid extras, this amount will be debited. Otherwise, the amount will be released at check-out. The amount will then be available within 3 to 5 working days (depending on your bank's regulations).

What are the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is from 3PM and check-out is available until 12PM on the day you are leaving. If you wish to get your room prior the check-in time, please let us know by e-mail with your booking reference (upon availability). Late check-out is available for an additional charge of 70 Euros.

Is it possible to arrive earlier or to extend my stay?

Upon availability, we will be pleased to welcome you prior your initial arrival date or to enjoy a longer stay (with an additional charge). Please remember to call the reception in advance.

Which languages are spoken at the Front Desk?

Our reception speaks French, English, Italian, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese

Is the hotel adapted for people with disabilities?

Yes, the Hotel Galiléo is adapted to the PMR standards. We have two PMR rooms (Tradition and Tradition Confort) as well as a PMR elevator.

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in our hotel.

Is the hotel equipped to welcome guests with other forms of disabilities?

Yes, the staff of the hotel is trained to welcome guests with other forms of disabilities such as visual impairment, hearing impairment etc.

Is there a lift in the hotel?

Yes, there is a lift to all floors of the hotel.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

Yes, we have a breakfast room. Our breakfast buffet includes: Hot drinks, Fresh fruit juices, Fresh fruit salads, Seasonal fruits, Breads and pastries, Butter and traditional jams, Cereals, granola, dried fruits, Yoghurt, cottage cheese, cheese...

The breakfast buffet is open every morning from 6:30 am to 10:30 am at a cost of 14€ per person.

However, we do not have a catering service for lunches and dinners. Our concierge can suggest the best restaurants in Paris.

Does the hotel have a bar?

Yes, we have a bar.

Is it possible to leave my luggage at the reception?

Yes, we have a free luggage service. You can leave your luggage there and pick it up later.

Does the hotel have a car park?

Yes, our hotel has a car park on request and subject to availability. It is accessible from 3pm on the day of arrival to 12am on the day of departure. Please book well in advance.

Does the WiFi is provide in the hotel?

Yes, you will have free WiFi access throughout the hotel.

Is there a business center in the hotel?

No, we do not have a business center, but you can work in our lounge. Our rooms are also equipped with a desk that has international plugs and a USB port.

Does the hotel have a concierge service?

Yes, our staff at reception will be happy to help you during your stay at the Galileo.

Does the hotel have a dry-cleaning service?

Yes, we offer dry cleaning service (with an external provider). If you hand in your laundry at the reception before 9:00AM, you will be able pick it up the next day. Do not hesitate to contact reception for further information.

Does the hotel have a babysitting service?

Yes, we can offer a babysitting service upon request. Please contact the reception for more information.

Do you provide towels?

Yes, towels are provided in your room.

Where can I find an adapter?

You have international plugs in each room. If you need more, please contact the reception.

Is there a taxi rank near the hotel?

Yes, the nearest taxi rank is 5 minutes away from the hotel.

What are the nearest metro / train stations?

George V station : Metro Line 1

Charles de Gaulle Etoile station : Metro 1, 2, 6 & RER A

Can I benefit from an airport/station shuttle?

Yes, you can ask the reception to organize your shuttle, we can book it for you according to a price list available at the reception.

What is the price of a taxi from the airport?

From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) the average price of non-booked taxi drive is around 60Euros.

From Orly Airport the average price of non-booked taxi drive is around 40€.
