STRUCTURE IN UNIFORM IN THE CITY OF THE ARCHITECTURE

The exhibition reports consequences which the Second world conflict had on the built environment, revealing the developments forgotten by the architecture during dark years.
Lived up to here in a grey zone, the dynamics which livened up the search, the innovation and the constructions realized by the architects during war years is finally restored. Of the destruction of Guernica by the Nazis in 1937 in the atomic bombardments of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the methods of the meeting between the architects and the war are analyzed on a comparative base. A parallel is proposed between the projects begun in France, in Canada, in Germany, in Italy, in Japan, in Spain, to United States and in the USSR, both for the forehead itself and for the back.
Drawings, models, objects size, photos, decorate printed matters and archive documents report trajectories going of the simple mobilization of the professionals to the army to the criminal act of politicians as Albert Speer and of their accomplices as Ernst Neufert. The experiences of witnesses, Resistance fighters and prisoners are restored with moving documents.
